Letter - Veronica.
As you're reading this now, I assume that I was convicted and executed for the murder of Dr. Jumba Jookiba. I won't insult you by trying to explain myself now; I'll leave any judgment you may want to pass on me up to your own discretion. I will confirm to you that I'm sorry, and that I know nothing I may do or say will ever make up for the betrayal I've issued you, or the pain I've caused.
But now isn't the time for dwelling on such things; if you want me to be honest, I'm glad that you found us out, because I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if you hadn't. It likely sounds selfish to word it that way, and I'm sorry for that as well; I can't even begin to express my regret that it came to this. I can't explain my thoughts to you, in the time leading up to this; I suspect that even if I could, you would find me mad. Perhaps I am; perhaps I always have been, it's difficult to say.
You did the right thing; don't ever let anyone make you doubt that you did the right thing. It may not have been what you wanted to do, though after what I've done, I wouldn't blame you if it was; it may not have been the just thing, because nothing in this place ever is. But what you did was the right thing. I took another's life; I deserved to have mine taken in return.
I'm so very proud of you.
The Pokéball accompanying this letter contains Honchkrow; he's very curious and a little arrogant about his power, but he's a loyal companion and I think he'll be good for you. Take care of him. He doesn't mind being in the ball; just let him out once in a while. He'll respond to any commands you give him; I told his movepool to Jimmy once - ask him if you would like to know what it is. Perhaps he'll teach you how to battle; I think it would be good for both of you.
Besides Honchkrow, I've also left you all of the files that Aradia left to me, as well as the photographs from Maya. Most importantly, however, I've left you what I've started as far as the rest of the group goes. Continue to lead them; provide guidance when you can. Keep them on track at any trials that may follow mine, because they tend to get distracted surprisingly easily. I know you can do it.
Never lose your passion; never lose your sense of determination. Always remember that you are one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. And because I don't think you hear it enough, despite how much you deserve it, I'll repeat what I said earlier -
I'm so very proud of you.
